    Fredericksburg:

    There are several places in Fredericksburg to enjoy the performing arts: Klein Theatre of University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble, and Stage Door Productions.

    Fredericksburg Festival for the Performing Arts
    started as a small festival, but has expanded into year-round events in music, dance, and theatre for the education and enjoyment of the community.

    The Fredericksburg Welsh Festival is a popular street fair honoring the tradition and culture of Wales through music, food, storytelling, poetry, children's activities, genealogy, dancing, and a Welsh market.

    Wings and Wheels Festival and Air Show is held annually in October and features aerobatic performances, fly-ins, vendors, crafts, food, motorcycles and vintage cars, and free plane rides for children.

    Caroline County:

    The Sidney E. King Arts Center features a gallery with 12 of Sidney King's famous battlefield paintings, the first time any of his works have hung together, and a gallery devoted to Salvador Dali from his time in Caroline County during WWII. There are also artifacts, documents, and photographs from the county's early history.

    The Ladysmith Day Festival is a one-day celebration of the community in Ladysmith, Virginia. Have some old fashioned family fun with arts and crafts vendors, fair food, a cornhole tournament, wine and beer gardens, a petting zoo, pony rides and kids' games, and live music performances.

    The State Fair of Virginia is held annually at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, home of legendary racehorse Secretariat. Fair-goers will enjoy fair food, carnival rides and games, agricultural and livestock shows and competitions, Virginia products, and live concerts.
